Groove Nugget has been a fixture of the Bay Area music scene for over 7 years. The band averages 50 plus engagements a year and is dedicated to providing a tight, professional, high energy show guaranteed to please even the most discriminating pop music connoisseur.

Like musical chameleons, the members of Groove Nugget are comfortable performing hits from a diverse range of artists while placing emphasis on material guaranteed to fill the dance floor. With a customizable song list consisting of proven Rock, Pop, to Hip-Hop favorites, there is sure to be something for everyone in our vast repertoire.

Singer Tim Watrous founded the group in 1998 with the idea that a band's musical performance can only be as solid as it's interpersonal relationships. He set out to recruit a dedicated lineup of performers who not only enjoy playing music together, but also truly respect each other's talents and musical tastes.

Featuring Berklee School of Music Alumnus Joe De Rose on Drums, Musician's Institute Alumnus Eric Thomas on Bass, and seasoned club veteran Matt Diggs on guitar, the band projects an infectious chemistry and technical aptitude guaranteed to engage the guests at your next event. With three out of four band members employed full time in the music industry and over 40 years combined stage experience, you can count on Groove Nugget to meet your musical needs with professionalism, grace, and enthusiasm.
